Line Up Info

Section: Section 3
Float #: 36
Line Up Time: 6:00pm

The actual parade begins at 7pm, with line up at 6:00pm. Line up will be located on the Northside. AAD will line up on Charles St. If you are driving, the only way in is on Livingston St. running East/West. You will not be able to drive on the same street as lineup, that runs North/South.

Click the “PARADE ROUTE MAP” link above for a detailed map.

Parking

Think ahead when parking around the parade route. If you are able, we suggest parking towards the end of the route, for an easier exit. If you are planning to watch the rest of the parade, it’s the luck of the draw, but usually, parking isn’t too bad.

If you would just like to drop your dancer at the beginning of the route, at 6:00 pm, you should have them enter on Livingston Street and walk one to two blocks south on Kane St. Of course, please have an adult accompany them to an AAD staff member.

Parade Route

The parade route is located on the North Side of La Crosse. The route follows Gillete Street west, then south on Caledonia Street.

And yes! We wave, dance and dance some more all the way down… with a few breaks, of course!

Pick Up

Our float will pull over on Caledonia Street, between St. James and St. Cloud Streets. If directed to move, we will turn left on St Cloud. We will leave our lights on, until everyone is picked up.

Please pick your dancer up immediately after AAD finishes the parade, not at the finish of the whole parade, as we usually can not stay parked for very long. Small children will be held, with an AAD staff member until a parent arrives.

Please talk with your child (levels I-VI) about your pick up plan. An AAD staff member MUST see a parent or guardian before a dancer is able to leave.

Attire

Pre-ordered parade shirts (tie-dye $25) will be available at AAD the week of the parade or at the parade route on Thursday.

All dancers/riders should dress in a black base (ie black pants, black long sleeve shirts etc). We suggest layering, as the weather can be cool. Dancers tend to warm up as the dance down the route.

Please use your best judgement when dressing your dancer for the cool fall weather; gloves, headbands/hats etc.

Glow Stuff

AAD will provide some glow accessories for our dancers, but you are welcome to bring as much or as little as you’d like too!

The more glow… the better!

Parent Chaperones

Yes…of course parents and family members are welcome to walk with us! It’s always nice to have more eyes and helpful hands!

We typically need a few willing parents to ride with our AAD staff in the truck to assist with the littlest dancers.

If you prefer to walk, we suggest either walking on the sides of the truck with or back, behind the older dancers.

If you didn’t pre-order a t-shirt, please do your best to support AAD in logowear or in your best Ninja inspired attire (black).

Pictures & Social Media

We LOVE to see the parade (& any event for that matter) from your perspective!

When posting pictures on Social Media, please tag AAD so we are able to see what you see!

If you have any other pictures, you are always welcome to send them our way!

There will be no THURSDAY classes on the night of the Parade!
